As Spanberger Reelected to Congress, CASA in Action Celebrates Immigrants’ Rights Victory

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — In response to the announcement of official results for the 2022 midterm elections in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District, CASA in Action issued the following statement from Virginia Voter Engagement Manager Marvin Hernandez. The Prince William County team led a strong campaign, with 55,281 doors knocked, 762,000 digital ad impressions, and 420,000 radio ad impressions in Virginia.

“Our contribution was especially critical in the precincts within Prince William County that tipped the scale in our direction toward victory,” Hernandez said. “We are incredibly proud to have made a difference by turning out voters for this critical election.

“The CASA in Action team and the Latino and immigrant communities of Northern Virginia are celebrating tonight, as our steadfast ally in Congress, Abigail Spanberger, has been reelected! Rep. Spanberger’s win is a victory for immigrant families who seek a solution for our broken immigration system, and for thousands of working class Virginians who demand better wages, healthcare, and education. Our communities can rest assured that they’ll have a dedicated champion on their side in Congress these next two years.”
