CASA in Action on Historic Victory in Shapiro Campaign for Pennsylvania Governor

York, Pa. — In response to the announcement of official results for the 2022 midterm elections in Pennsylvania, CASA in Action released the following statement from Pennsylvania Voter Engagement Manager Rosemary Cintron. With more than 80 canvassers, CASA in Action knocked on 54,566 doors, ran 1.7 million digital ad impressions, and published more than 410,000 Spanish and English radio ad impressions across York, Lancaster, Dauphin, and Chester Counties.

“We are beyond thrilled to congratulate Josh Shapiro and Austin Davis on their victory for Governor and Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania!” Cintron said. “Our field team of more than 80 canvassers spent months campaigning and knocked on more than 54,000 doors across York, Lancaster, Chester, and Dauphin Counties to secure this win. We’re confident this new administration will help deliver on key policy priorities like better wages, voting rights, and greater access to healthcare and education for Pennsylvania’s working class communities. CASA in Action urged the commonwealth’s communities of color to participate in democracy and make their voices heard in this election — Black and Latino voters answered the call in droves.”
