August 4, 2020, Hyattsville, MD – CASA in Action President Gustavo Torres issued the following statement after presidential candidate Joe Biden announced his main agenda for the Latino community in advance of the November 3rd election.
“This is the most important election of our lifetime, and our nation looks to Joe Biden to serve as our champion in the White House, prioritizing policies that protect working families, offering protection to millions of undocumented immigrants, and making America’s immigration system more humane and fair. Biden’s commitment to treat migrants with dignity and respect is important, protecting their legal right to seek asylum, providing legal representation and access to due process, and immediate relief for all DACA and TPS holders, not just some.
“Latinos have the power to shape the future of this nation, and CASA in Action is doing everything to ensure Biden gets elected.
