Our CASA in Action Candidates

VA Senate, District 29 — Elizabeth Guzman

CASA in Action Virginia Elections Manager Marvin Hernandez: “Everyday, Elizabeth Guzman brings her true self as an immigrant to the fight for workers rights. Elizabeth’s dedication to delivering results for the community has earned her the endorsement of Virginia’s top immigrant electoral mobilization organization. As a Senator, Elizabeth Guzman will deliver on affordable healthcare.”

VA Senate, District 33 — Jennifer Carroll Foy

CASA in Action Virginia Elections Manager Marvin Hernandez: “Jennifer Carroll Foy has proven herself as a progressive leader for Virginia, supporting core working families’ policy priorities, like rent stabilization. She is a fighter when the going gets tough, and CASA in Action expects a tough session with a Republican governor. Virginia dice, ‘Estoy con Foy!’”

VA Senate, District 35 – Heidi Drauschak

CASA in Action Virginia Elections Manager Marvin Hernandez: “Electing Democrats is not enough. We need to elect the most progressive Democrats who will not just adopt a policy, but will adopt the strongest policy. Heidi Drauschak’s combination of policy expertise and hard work will ensure that the people – not big corporations – will be the most important constituency in Richmond.”

VA Delegate, District 18 – Kathy Tran

CASA in Action Virginia Elections Manager Marvin Hernandez: “Kathy Tran is one of the smartest and most hardworking people in the Virginia House. For CASA in Action, there was never a doubt that immigrant freedom fighter Kathy Tran would be the candidate that our members would support. She is, simply, one of us.”

VA Delegate, District 19 – Rozia Henson

CASA in Action Virginia Elections Manager Marvin Hernandez: “From his longtime dedication to changing the course of politics in Prince William County to his deep dedication to progressive reforms, Rozia Henson is the right candidate for the now majority Black and brown community that is the new District 19.”

Fairfax County, Mason District – Andres Jimenez

CASA in Action Virginia Elections Manager Marvin Hernandez: “CASA in Action is proud to endorse Andres Jimenez who will deliver true results – from pedestrian-safe streets to housing justice – for our many members who live in the Mason district.”

Fairfax County, Springfield District – Albert Vega

CASA in Action Virginia Elections Manager Marvin Hernandez: “CASA in Action is proud to endorse Albert Vega. For too long, the Springfield district has been represented by a xenophobe out of touch with his constituents. Albert Vega is the candidate that can unite forces to make sure that residents finally have the representative they deserve.”

Prince William County, Coles District – Idris O’Connor

CASA in Action Virginia Elections Manager Marvin Hernandez: “CASA in Action is proud to endorse Idris O’Connor, a former canvasser with our team. His focus on equitable education, affordable housing, and healthcare accessibility prioritizes solutions to challenges that Republican representation has historically ignored. We know that Idris will serve the people of the Coles District.”

Along with these top-ticket endorsements, CASA in Action is pleased to announce its support for the following local incumbents, who likewise demonstrate an unwavering dedication to working families and immigrants:

Jeffrey McKay for Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, At-Large
