On Anniversary of Jan 6 Insurrection, CASA in Action and Allies Blast Rep. Scott Perry for Attempting to Overturn 2020 Election

12 pm Remembrance at Rep. Perry York Office Among More than 175 Events Across the Country

YORK, PA – January 6, 2022 marks one year since a faction of elected officials incited armed right-wing militants to attack the U.S. Capitol. One year later, the same faction is working to restrict the freedom to vote, attacking fair voting districts, and quietly preparing future attempts to sabotage free and fair elections. In PA, legislators have been working to overturn the election, restricting voting rights, and attacking the vote by mail system. Grassroots groups representing working people and communities of color say they will fight to defeat elected officials who are complicit in attempts to silence their voices and undermine democracy in a press conference outside Rep. Scott Perry’s York office today.
